ARTICLE 1. WHAT IS A COOKIE?

A cookie is a small alphanumeric file that is placed on the Device (computer, smartphone, tablet, mobile, etc.) of the User, when browsing the Site.

ARTICLE 2. IS YOUR CONSENT NECESSARY?

Before placing or reading a cookie that is not necessary for the provision of a service, website publishers must:

  • inform the User of the purpose of the cookies
  • obtain the consent of the User
  • provide a means for the User to refuse them.

The validity period of this consent is thirteen (13) months.

However, certain cookies are exempt from the need to obtain consent, in particular those which are strictly necessary for the provision of a service expressly requested by the User.

ARTICLE 3. WHY DOES INTERSPORT SERVICES USE COOKIES?

The Site is designed to attend to the needs of Users. Therefore INTERSPORT SERVICES uses cookies to optimise a Site visit by a User.

The Site also uses cookies, and in particular third-party cookies, in order to present Users with advertising that is tailored to them.

ARTICLE 4. WHAT COOKIES ARE USED ON THE SITE?

INTERSPORT collects information, which may include personal data, from your browser when you use our Sites. We use different methods to collect this information, such as cookies and web beacons, and may include your (i) IP address (ii) unique identification cookie, information cookie and information about your hardware to access certain features (iii) unique identification number of the hardware and type of equipment (iv) domain, browser type and language (v) operating system and settings (vi) country and time zone (vii) previously visited sites (viii) information about your actions on our Sites such as behaviour in terms of clicks, purchases and preferences, and (ix) access times and referral URLs.

Third parties may also collect information from the Sites through cookies, third party modules and widgets. These third parties collect data directly from your browser and the processing of this data is subject to their personal data protection policies.

We use cookies and web beacons to track use of the Sites by our clients and to understand their preferences (such as country and language). This allows us to provide services to our clients and improve their online experience. We also use cookies and web beacons to obtain general information about site traffic and interactions, to identify trends and obtain statistics, and thus improve our Sites. There are generally three categories of cookies used on our Sites:

  • Functional cookies: These cookies are required for basic site functionality and are therefore always active. This includes cookies which allow you to be recognised when you visit our Sites during the same session or, if you wish, from session to session. They allow you to set up your shopping basket and use the payment procedure, but also to ensure the security of communications and compliance with regulations.
  • Performance cookies: These cookies allow us to improve the functionality of our Sites by tracking their use. In some cases, these cookies can improve the speed with which we process your request, and retain the preferences you have selected. Refusing these cookies may lead to less relevant recommendations and slower site performance.
  • Social Network and Advertising Cookies: Social network cookies allow you to connect to your social networks and share content from our Sites on social networks. Advertising cookies (from third parties) collect information to help tailor advertisements better to your interests, both on and off our Sites. In some cases, these cookies require the processing of personal data. Refusing these cookies may result in the display of advertisements that are not relevant or prevent the effective connection to Facebook, Twitter, or other social networks or prevent the possibility for you to share the content on social networks.

You can change your preferences at any time by going to the "Cookie Settings" at the bottom of each page of our Sites.

For a clear and up-to-date summary of each of the third parties accessing your internet browser (via the INTERSPORT Rent Sites or other sites), we recommend that you install a specific module providing this function. You can also choose to be alerted by your computer each time a cookie is sent, or you can choose to refuse all cookies. You can make these choices by accessing the Internet browser settings on each of your devices. Every browser is different. Therefore check the "Help" menu of your browser to understand how to modify the cookie settings. If you refuse cookies, accessing much of the content on our Sites and Apps may be less efficient and some of our services may not function properly.

Cookies can also be installed on the User's Device when consulting our partner sites:

  • intersport-rent.fr,
  • intersport-clubs.fr,
  • nakamura.fr

ARTICLE 5. IS IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY ME FROM COOKIES?

The deposit of cookies carried out in the context of using the Site does not allow the User to be identified personally, but it records information relating to the navigation of their Device on the Site, which INTERSPORT SERVICES can read during subsequent visits by the User to the Site.

The information collected is for the exclusive use of INTERSPORT SERVICES and its partners, in particular service providers, and is under no circumstances transferred to third parties.

Cookies issued by third parties, over which INTERSPORT SERVICES has no control, may be placed in your browser. These cookies make it possible to personally identify the User. INTERSPORT SERVICES invites you to consult the privacy policies specific to each of these third parties.

ARTICLE 6. WHAT IS THE CONSERVATION PERIOD OF COOKIES?

Cookies are kept for a period of thirteen (13) months after their first deposit in the User's Device.

At the end of the retention period, the personal data collected through cookies will be deleted.

ARTICLE 7. HOW CAN I REFUSE THE DEPOSIT OF COOKIES?

The User is offered several possibilities for the management of cookies:

Agreement to cookies

Except for cookies which are strictly necessary technically, the registration of a cookie on a Device is subject to User consent, which the User can express and modify at any time and free of charge through the choices offered to them.

If the User has accepted the writing of cookies on their Device, the cookies created may be stored temporarily in a dedicated area of their Device. They will be readable only by their issuer.

As such, and for cookies which are not exclusively intended to allow or facilitate navigation, or which are not strictly necessary for the provision of the Services offered via the Site, the User can expressly request that a banner is displayed when the User connects to the Site in order to inform them prior to the deposit of these cookies, (1) of their presence and (2) to allow the User, if appropriate, to refuse their deposit on their Device.

Cookie settings using the internet browser

The User can configure their internet browser so that cookies are saved on their Device or, to the contrary, are rejected, either systematically or depending on their issuer.

The User can also configure their internet browser so that the acceptance or refusal of cookies is offered to them as and when the possibility of a cookie being saved on their Device occurs.

The management of cookies and their choices is configured differently on each browser. This is described in the help menu of the User's browser, and will allow them to know how to modify their cookie preferences:

  • For Microsoft Internet explorer (Windows Internet Explorer, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7): support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/help/17442/windows-internet-explorer-delete-manage-cookies
  • For Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=fr
  • For Safari: support.apple.com/kb/PH21411?locale=fr_FR&viewlocale=fr_FR
  • For Safari IPhone/IPad: support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT201265
  • For Firefox: support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/activer-desactiver-cookies-preferences
  • For Opera: help.opera.com/Windows/10.20/fr/cookies.html

ARTICLE 8. WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES OF CHANGING THE COOKIE SETTINGS?

The User is informed of the fact that any configuration changes made are likely to modify their Internet browsing and their conditions of access to certain Services offered on the Site that require the use of cookies, and also that a certain number of functions necessary for navigation on the Site may be degraded (example: registration or display difficulties).

In the event of User modification of the cookie settings, INTERSPORT SERVICES cannot in any way be held responsible for any malfunctions that may be observed.

The lack of consent can only prevent Site access to the extent that the processing of the data concerned is absolutely essential for the operation of the Site.

ARTICLE 9. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

INTERSPORT SERVICES may process personal data concerning you, in the capacity of data controller. You can refer to the personal data policy of INTERSPORT SERVICES by clicking on this link.
